Overview

In this role you will lead and grow the Banking & Capital Markets FSTax practice, shaping our go-to-market strategy and client delivery. You’ll manage multi-disciplinary teams across advisory, compliance and audit of tax engagements for high-profile financial services clients from our London office. You will oversee portfolios, ensure delivery against budgets, and foster learning and development among junior staff. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for growth and be a role-model in delegation and quality of work. This position offers impact through guiding tax strategy amid regulatory change and expanding our FSTax capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive go-to-market strategy for Banking & Capital Markets FSTax practice
  • Manage business development opportunities and contribute to FSTax strategy
  • Lead and coordinate multiple teams across FSTax advisory, compliance and tax audit engagements
  • Oversee a portfolio of high-quality client work and ensure profitable outcomes
  • Guide delegation and review, mentoring junior team members
  • Manage client engagements’ budgets, timetables, and fee negotiations
  • Identify opportunities for cross-sell within FSTax and other service lines

Key requirements

  • Extensive experience leading a portfolio of FSTax engagements in Banking & Capital Markets
  • Depth in broader business tax, international tax, regulatory and tax accounting areas (e.g., OECD Pillar 2 – GloBE)
  • Willingness to take on team management and development roles
  • Experience managing financials on client engagements, including timetables, budgets, and fees
