In this role you will lead cost management for a major, complex nuclear programme, guiding multidisciplinary teams within a governance framework. You’ll collaborate with the nuclear commercial team to manage high‑value contracts and administer NEC forms, ensuring compliant, high‑quality commercial outputs. You will drive clear communication with clients, partners and internal stakeholders, and oversee cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow to support project delivery. Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver major projects within governance frameworks
- Coordinate with the nuclear commercial team on commercial and contract management for high‑value contracts
- Administer NEC forms of contract ensuring compliance with processes, obligations and timelines
- Prepare contract data, scope documentation and associated commercial inputs
- Facilitate clear communication across clients, partners and internal stakeholders
- Oversee financial management including cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow analysis
Key requirements
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management or related discipline (HNC/HND/Degree) or acceptable alternative background
- Experience in construction or engineering with cost management, with nuclear/civil/engineering sector experience essential
- Strong written and verbal communication and methodical problem‑solving
- Proven contract management experience in nuclear, infrastructure or major projects
- Experience with NEC3 and NEC4 forms of contract
- Professional membership or qualifications with RICS, CIOB, APM, AcostE or similar is desirable
