Overview

As a Senior Project Manager at Arcadis, you will lead core projects or small programmes with up to 30m in value, ensuring delivery on time, to budget and to quality. You will define delivery approaches with stakeholders and establish control mechanisms to steer performance. You will manage project teams and resources, monitor budgets, and report risks to senior leadership. You will apply industry best practices to optimise processes and collaborate across the organisation to meet client expectations. Responsibilities

• Oversee scope and workload of a team or contractors to deliver against an agreed programme
• Create and manage plans and budgets in financial systems and track variances to control delivery
• Deliver small to medium scale projects/programmes within deadlines and budget
• Present risks and issues to senior managers to protect project objectives and compliance
• Advise colleagues on compliance processes and behavioural requirements
• Analyse data to identify trends and inform project decisions
• Review processes and policies, recommending improvements to senior management
• Collaborate across the organisation to support cross-functional delivery with internal customers
• Advise senior management on project issues to support objective-driven delivery
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure clear communication of progress and expectations

Key requirements

• Relevant experience managing small to medium sized projects (core sized projects)
• Commercial acumen and ability to manage external stakeholder relationships
• Expert level expertise in project management
• Knowledge of own area and understanding of wider programme and business
• Experience managing relationships at senior-management level
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Relevant professional qualification or chartered status
