Salesforce Solution Architect

Overview

As Salesforce Solution Architect you will advise public sector clients on scalable, secure Salesforce solutions. You will collaborate with enterprise architects, business users, and executive stakeholders to translate requirements into well-architected designs. You will guide governance, security, performance, and development practices while mentoring teams and contributing to strategic assets. This role sits within the Salesforce Architecture and Innovation team in London and supports pre-sales and cross-team coordination. You’ll help shape multi-cloud, data-driven transformations for public sector customers.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to public sector stakeholders and ensure best-practice, scalable solutions
• Translate business and technical requirements into well-architected Salesforce designs
• Identify, assess, and mitigate solution and design risks
• Lead architecture alignment and coordinate work across multiple architects
• Collaborate with project and engagement managers on planning and delivery with the client
• Oversee project vision and review key deliverables; drive early solution evaluations
• Mentor diverse teams, including communication strategies and executive influence
• Contribute to internal growth via knowledge sharing and strategic assets
• Support Pre-Sales in proposals, including target/transition architectures, security/compliance, integration, data migration, and roadmaps

Key requirements

• 15+ years in consulting/architecture roles with public sector digital transformation leadership
• Deep public sector domain knowledge (government, healthcare, education, defence, etc.)
• Familiarity with GDPR, FOIA, procurement processes
• Proficiency in Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Public Sector Cloud
• Mandatory Public Sector Solutions Accredited Professional and Service Cloud Consultant certifications
• Experience with Data Cloud, MuleSoft, OmniStudio, Agentforce; integration and MDM
• Experience with AWS and other cloud platforms; end-to-end Salesforce implementations
• Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills; quick learner
• Security-focused design ability for high-profile public sector environments
• Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall experience; security clearance required or obtainable
