Senior Manager or Assistant Director, Financial Due Diligence – Financial Services, M&A

Overview

In this role you will join Deloitte’s growing M&A team to support high-profile corporate and private equity transactions. You will work within a deal team to identify value, risks and other key factors across due diligence and deal support, leveraging Deloitte’s deep product expertise. You’ll interact with senior stakeholders and help shape transaction decisions while progressing your career in a collaborative, cross-border environment. The role offers hybrid working in London and exposure to a broad range of services and markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of the target business and drivers
• Interpret and analyze information memoranda, business plans, and public data on targets
• Review historical trading, cash flow, and balance sheets
• Assess projections and underlying assumptions
• Evaluate working capital facilities, financing limits, terms and covenants
• Evaluate potential synergies
• Report key issues affecting value or price to clients
• Review sale and purchase agreements and link findings to due diligence
• Assess financial structures and credit agreements
• Lead and develop service offerings to drive practice growth
• Lead training and develop team members
• Manage diverse teams within an inclusive culture

Key requirements

• ACA or equivalent qualification
• Strong report writing with attention to detail and risk management
• Experience in financial due diligence and transaction services or equivalent
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders
• Experience in business development from opportunity to sale
• Experience in building and managing client relationships
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
