Overview

In this Senior Interaction Designer role, you will shape accessible, user-centered digital services for Home Office customers. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to design intuitive flows and interface elements, and mentor the interaction design team. The role supports strategic initiatives, including CRM work with Microsoft Dynamics, and requires agile design practices. You will contribute to transforming government services to be simpler, faster, and easier to use, while advancing a strong UCD culture.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and apply government-wide design standards across services
  • Line manage, mentor and provide feedback to junior designers
  • Advocate for users and translate needs into simple, accessible services
  • Create prototypes and concepts to test ideas with users and iterate based on evidence
  • Map user journeys and visualize design problems
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, facilitate design processes, and communicate decisions to stakeholders
