Overview

In this Year in Industry placement, you will join Edwards Vacuum in Clevedon to gain hands-on experience across electrical engineering functions. You will contribute to real projects, support design, testing, and improvement of electrical systems used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and produce essential engineering documentation. You’ll work closely with experienced colleagues to develop technical and professional skills in a global engineering environment. Responsibilities

  • Complete a structured year-long placement across electrical engineering functions
  • Support design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of electrical systems used in semiconductor equipment
  • Contribute to live engineering projects and apply engineering principles to solve challenges
  • Produce and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, bills of materials, and related docs
  • Assist with system integration, verification, validation, and troubleshooting activities

Key requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline and undertaking an industrial placement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
