Overview
In this Executive Director role, you will lead origination and execution of complex M&A in the EMEA Infrastructure space, advising premier global investors. You will act as the primary client contact, steering deal strategy, negotiations, and multi-workstream execution from our London office. You’ll collaborate with Funds Coverage, sector, and product teams to deliver integrated outcomes and help grow the EMEA M&A business. You’ll shape transactions from sourcing to closing while mentoring junior bankers and managing risk. This is a high-impact opportunity to influence infrastructure investment activity at scale.
Responsibilities
- Source and develop sell-side M&A opportunities with leading infrastructure funds and asset managers
- Lead end-to-end M&A execution across public and private transactions (sell-side, carve-outs, buy-sides, secondary)
- Serve as the primary day-to-day relationship and deal lead for clients
- Coordinate with Funds Coverage, sector teams, and product partners to deliver integrated advice
- Oversee diligence, Q&A, management presentations, stakeholder management, and negotiations through signing and closing
- Review and refine marketing and execution materials to maximize client impact
- Manage, mentor, and train junior bankers; coordinate analytics across deal teams
- Identify and escalate execution, regulatory, and reputational risks throughout the lifecycle
Key requirements
- Significant experience (min 9 years) in investment banking M&A with a track record of leading transactions
- Strong M&A capability to source and manage complex processes with multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines
- Experience negotiating transactions and related legal documents
- Outstanding financial analysis and modeling, and oversight of valuation workstreams
- Self-directed, highly motivated, with strong project management and attention to detail under pressure
- Collaborative, inclusive leadership style with experience developing junior talent
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong client-facing presence
- Proficiency in MS Office; Bloomberg experience preferred
- Infrastructure sector familiarity is beneficial but not required; deep knowledge of investment banking products and client relationships preferred
