You’ll lead security projects, manage security tools, and address threats through proactive risk assessment and incident response. Responsibilities

  • Lead and support IT security projects ensuring secure delivery
  • Manage security tools across on-premises and cloud environments
  • Configure and update security solutions (EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, IAM, cloud security)
  • Collaborate with IT, development and third-party teams to embed security
  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans and OSINT investigations
  • Monitor threats, CVEs and zero-day vulnerabilities; assess impact
  • Investigate security incidents; perform root cause analysis and improvements
  • Deliver security awareness training across the business
  • Provide security guidance for new technologies and strategic initiatives
  • Support day-to-day security operations and change control processes
  • Assist with SOC alerts, investigations and escalations

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in a Cyber Security Engineer or similar role
  • Strong understanding of network, infrastructure and application security
  • Practical experience with security tools across on-premises and cloud
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST and CIS
  • Experience in risk assessment, vulnerability management and incident response
  • Hands-on experience configuring/managing cloud security tools and IAM
  • Knowledge of EDR platforms and vulnerability management processes
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH or Azure Security Engineer would be desirable
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to simplify security for non-technical audiences
