Overview
In this Maintenance Engineer role, you will keep automated plant equipment, robots and facilities running to support production. You’ll work within a modern, large facility in the Midlands and report to the Maintenance Manager. The role focuses on reliable mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement to prevent downtime. Responsibilities
- Electrical and mechanical repair of automated machines
- Root cause analysis of breakdowns with improvement recommendations
- Facilitate Preventative Maintenance schedules and propose enhancements
- Fault finding and servicing of machines and ancillary equipment
- Support production through reliable maintenance of automated plant equipment and facilities
Key requirements
- Apprentice trained in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Level 3 equivalent
- Minimum Level 3 C&G craft qualification or NVQ in a related discipline
- Ability to service mechanical and electrical equipment
- Experience with robots and automated plant machinery
- Fault finding from electrical schematics on 3-phase systems
- Confident fault-finding PLCs
- Recent or current experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer or similar in automated manufacturing (Tier 1 automotive)
