Risk Associate – Risk Operations

Overview

In this role you will support the Senior Risk Manager to keep the ERM framework active across the business. You will help maintain the Risk and Control Register, contribute to risk outputs, and support governance matters such as policy schedules and risk assessments. You will work on embedding risk activities in change initiatives, including acquisitions, and assist with risk reporting and stakeholder management. This is a chance to shape risk management at a globally distributed insurer and contribute to Howden’s risk culture.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Risk Manager in delivering the annual ERM plan
• Manage assigned risk assessments and projects and contribute to others as needed
• Support ERM reporting on key plans and initiatives and manage stakeholder expectations
• Embed risk management activities across major change initiatives, including acquisitions
• Ensure the Risk and Control Register stays live and accurate
• Support Risk Business Partners across the organisation
• Produce high-quality risk management information and reports
• Assist with ongoing administrative tasks as needed

Key requirements

• Strong analytical, written communication, and presentation skills
• Solid understanding of risk management processes and frameworks
• Ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders across all levels
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
