Overview

In this role, you will shape electrical design strategy for major building projects and lead delivery within a commercial-focused team. You’ll collaborate with business leaders in a partner-led environment to drive energy-efficient, standards-compliant installations. You’ll guide and develop trainees, coordinate multi-disciplinary efforts, and manage client relationships to ensure successful project outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Input design strategy and conceptual design for electrical installations
  • Perform design calculations for electrical systems in major buildings
  • Produce design drawings, diagrams, schematics, specifications, and schedules
  • Ensure compliance with BS standards, Building Regulations and related standards
  • Incorporate energy efficiency and low-carbon requirements
  • Lead an M&E team in project coordination, meetings, and scheduling
  • Act as lead engineer by reviewing others’ work and mentoring trainees
  • Manage client and design team relationships; clarify project briefs
  • Provide support to other engineers and conduct peer reviews
  • Report on electrical and related disciplines in meetings
  • Support strategic sustainability policies and internal environmental goals

Key requirements
