Overview
As Legal Counsel you will support the Group Legal team across commercial, corporate, governance, data protection, employment, disputes and regulatory matters. You will deliver practical, business-focused advice and help manage legal risk while contributing to policy development and governance improvements. The role is hybrid with a preference for weekly presence in Liverpool or Manchester. You will work with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive efficient legal operations and adoption of AI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts (client, supplier, technology)
- Provide day-to-day legal advice to stakeholders
- Identify and manage legal and commercial risks
- Support corporate projects, governance, restructures and due diligence
- Assist with disputes and litigation matters
- Develop legal policies, templates, guidance and training
- Drive process improvements and adoption of AI/technology solutions
- Build relationships with internal teams and external legal partners
Key requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with ~1–3 years PQE
- Experience in commercial contracts and/or commercial litigation
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills
- Ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
