Overview
As Junior Planner in Transport / Rail, you will support integrated planning across projects and ensure schedules align with delivery timelines. You will maintain baselines, track variances and risks, and present updates to governance bodies. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and external consultants to keep plans accurate and transparent, enabling informed decision-making and timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update integrated project plans, schedules, and dependencies (MS Project)
- Challenge variances and delays, and manage on-track status
- Record variances/discrepancies in MSP and maintain baselines
- Lead planning and risk review discussions with stakeholders
- Update and manage project risks, ensuring updates reflect current assessments
- Present plan updates at weekly governance meetings (TOC)
- Produce high-level/detailed plan views for stakeholders (TOC, Programme Director, Project Sponsor)
- Track risks, issues, milestones, and critical path activities
- Produce status reports, dashboards, and planning insights for governance
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to keep plans aligned with delivery timelines
