Overview

In this role you will analyse market trends and competitor activity to shape pricing for Savings products. You will develop profitable, competitive pricing strategies, support new product launches, and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership. You work across functions to optimize pricing decisions and communicate clearly to stakeholders, contributing to sustainable growth and profitability. Based in the UK with locations in Edinburgh or Glasgow, this role offers a fast-paced opportunity to influence pricing in a large financial services organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to understand competition, trends, and opportunities to grow market share in commercial banking
  • Develop pricing models for products and services to balance profitability and competitiveness
  • Design and manage innovative financial solutions aligned to bank objectives for commercial clients (loans, cash management, trade finance)
  • Identify strategic partnerships to broaden offerings and reach new client segments
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to understand client needs and tailor solutions
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, set targets, and define channels for loan terms and service agreements
  • Monitor leading/lagging metrics (new clients, loan volume, revenue, market share) and optimise funnel and client journey
  • Create management information and presentations for senior stakeholders with clear, actionable insights

Key requirements

  • Great analytical capability and ability to translate data into insights
  • Commercial acumen; understanding of how pricing affects profitability
  • Proficiency in SAS (or SQL/Python) and Excel for analysis and modelling
  • Excellent stakeholder management with confidence to engage senior leaders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for non-technical audiences
  • Experience in financial services, ideally with lending or pricing exposure
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI) is valued
