Overview

In this role, you design, develop, and maintain automated tests and the supporting framework integrated into CI/CD to validate software quality, performance, and security. You work within the Applications software team to improve test coverage across Windows, Linux, and embedded systems, contributing to reliable, scalable delivery. You collaborate across software development, product management, and QA to align testing strategies with business goals, and you engage in continuous improvement initiatives. This hybrid role offers exposure to cutting-edge tooling and cross-functional impact within Edwards’ Vacuum Technique area.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test cases using Python and C#
  • Extend regression test frameworks for reliability, scalability, and maintainability
  • Execute automated and manual tests in Azure DevOps and TeamCity within CI/CD
  • Develop test suites for cross-platform software (Windows, Linux, embedded systems)
  • Document testing procedures, results, and best practices
  • Stay updated on testing techniques and industry best practices
  • Collaborate in an Agile Scrum environment and align testing with business objectives
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to coordinate testing strategies
  • Travel to Atlas Copco and customer sites to support testing and deployment

Key requirements

  • Proven proficiency in automated testing and test framework development
  • Extensive experience with Python and C# (OOP principles)
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, TeamCity) and pipeline integration
  • Experience developing software for cross-platform environments (Windows and Linux); knowledge of Linux advantageous
  • Familiarity with modern development/testing tools and design patterns
  • Experience documenting software architecture
  • Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Proficient in Git and Azure DevOps repositories
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience developing/managing CI/CD pipelines
