Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage a portfolio of 2–3 concurrent projects for a leading regional contractor. You’ll apply strong cost control and commercial acumen to projects valued from £1m to £5m, ensuring profitable delivery. Based near Watford, you will work autonomously while collaborating with the commercial team to support client requirements and project success. This role offers exposure to a range of commercial schemes and a pathway to contribute to a well-established contractor’s regional growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage 2–3 projects concurrently with autonomy
• Oversee commercial aspects across a range of projects for a main contractor
• Ensure cost control, value engineering and commercial targets are met
• Coordinate with site teams and clients to support project delivery
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for project financials

Key requirements

• Track record with a reputable main contractor
• Experience on a range of commercial projects
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to commute to Hertfordshire (near Watford) daily
