Overview

In this role you will drive quality across the Typhoon Radar Sector, collaborating with operations, programmes and IPTs to ensure compliant, on-time product delivery. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives and apply robust quality tools to reduce non-conformance costs. You will provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams, owning quality metrics and assurance milestones. Responsibilities

  • Partner with Operations, Programmes and IPTs to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery with compliance
  • Lead continuous improvement via root cause analysis and proactive problem solving to reduce non-conformance costs
  • Provide expert Quality guidance to help teams meet business and programme objectives
  • Lead and support quality improvement initiatives and KPI performance for QNs, MRBs and FRBs
  • Coordinate and report in 8D investigations to identify RCCA
  • Plan, execute, and verify quality activities across project phases
  • Oversee processing of concessions, non-conformances, and production permits
  • Support achievement of assurance milestones and regulatory/contractual compliance
  • Prepare quality reports and data analysis to inform actionable improvements
  • Conduct internal audits to assess adherence to processes and procedures
  • Identify process and product improvements via Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping (VSM)

Key requirements

  • Background in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Defence Electronics or other technically demanding field
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 / ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Familiarity with Quality tools and techniques including RCCA, Process Mapping, FAI
  • Experience in high-precision or complex manufacturing, preferably aerospace/defence
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills; commitment to inclusive, team-focused culture
  • Passion for continuous improvement, learning and personal development
  • Willingness to drive improvements and reduce process waste
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing and VSM is advantageous
