Senior Building Services Engineer (Electrical)

Responsibilities

• Deliver portfolios of work across private and public sectors
• Liaise with clients and contractors, attend meetings, provide technical advice and reports
• Ensure projects are delivered on time
• Mentor junior engineers and trainees
• Compliance with Health & Safety requirements
• Conduct feasibility studies, design options and detailed electrical designs with drawings and specs
• Undertake site investigations, testing, commissioning and condition surveys
• Monitor project progress, manage resources, ensure timely delivery
• Verify contractor payments, negotiate variations, support cost planning and tender evaluation

Key requirements

• HND/Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• Membership of IET or CIBSE
• Chartership (desirable) or working towards
• Significant experience in electrical building services design across sectors
• Proficient in Trimble ProDesign, Electrical OM, Dialux, Relux
• Strong experience with Revit MEP
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
• Knowledge of BS 7671 and related standards
• Experience with site investigations, testing and commissioning
• LV and HV systems knowledge
• Tender analysis experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, self-motivation, time management, and ability to meet deadlines
