Overview

In this HR Business Partner role, you will provide day-to-day HR guidance across the full employee lifecycle, collaborating with managers to address relations, wellbeing, recruitment, onboarding, performance, and policy development. You will balance hands-on support with strategic HR initiatives that drive engagement and development aligned with business goals. You’ll ensure compliance with UK employment law and maintain accurate records, payroll, and GDPR standards. This is an opportunity to influence people practices in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on employee relations matters including absence, performance, grievances and wellbeing
  • Support recruitment and selection activities from advertising to offers
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding to ensure a positive employee experience
  • Develop and implement HR initiatives supporting engagement, learning and development
  • Support performance management, career development and succession activities
  • Contribute to HR policy and process reviews
  • Assist with contractual and employee relations discussions ensuring legal compliance
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure GDPR compliance
  • Prepare and review payroll and time & attendance in line with deadlines
  • Stay updated on payroll requirements, employment legislation and HR best practices

Key requirements

  • Broad HR generalist/HRBP or HR advisory experience
  • Strong, current understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Ability to manage both operational support and long-term HR projects
  • Proactive, hands-on, solutions-focused with sound judgement and discretion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to relate at all levels
  • Strong organisation, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with HR, payroll or time and attendance systems (advantageous)
