Overview
In this role you will lead risk, governance and reporting for Premier Foods’ Financial Operations within the Premier Business Services transformation. You’ll act as the control tower for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, embedding robust controls and risk management across the function. You will develop and deliver insightful reporting on cash collection, debt and operational performance to enable informed decision making. This is a high-visibility leadership role focused on continuous improvement and shaping a best-in-class shared services operation.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a specialist team for risk management, governance, reporting and operational insight
- Define, implement and enhance risk, governance and control frameworks across Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Ensure financial controls compliance with internal policies, external regulations and audit requirements
- Oversee customer onboarding and credit risk processes with due diligence and policy adherence
- Proactively identify risks, propose mitigations and support informed decisions
- Lead internal and external audit activities, manage remediation plans and embedding actions
- Develop and deliver reporting on cash collection, debt, working capital, credit risk and performance measures
- Utilise data analytics to identify trends and opportunities, translating into actionable recommendations
- Partner with Finance, Commercial and PBS leadership to influence decisions and drive improvements
- Support business and finance transformation initiatives ensuring governance and risk considerations are embedded
Key requirements
- Significant experience in Financial Operations, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable/Payable or Audit environments
- Experience leading high-performing teams in a complex operational setting
- Strong understanding of financial controls, governance, regulatory compliance and audit requirements
- Experience in credit risk management, customer onboarding and risk-based decision making
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation to insights
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Proactive mindset with continuous improvement focus
- Organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with SAP, sanctions compliance, finance transformation or FMCG environments (advantageous)
