Overview

In this role you will design and develop high-performance Python micro-services for Citi’s front-office commodities risk platform. You will work on a highly distributed system that processes large data volumes, using RabbitMQ for transport and OpenShift/Kubernetes for deployment. You’ll collaborate with traders, risk managers and multiple global teams to integrate analytics and data libraries, contributing to a re-engineering phase that enhances accuracy and speed. A strong technical driver with stakeholder collaboration will help shape scalable risk solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain high-performing Python micro-services for the risk platform
  • Collaborate with Traders and Risk Managers to gather requirements and resolve production issues (SL3)
  • Work with Markets Quantitative Analytics (MQA) and Commodities Market Data (CMD) teams to integrate analytics and data
  • Coordinate with global Citi teams to ensure effective delivery
  • Integrate supporting libraries (Market Data, Trade Repository, Analytics) into the risk platform
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay current with tech trends

Key requirements

  • Experience in front-office derivatives or commodities risk background preferred
  • Proven ability to analyze issues and deliver quick, effective solutions
  • Hands-on Python experience with SQL Server; Parquet exposure advantageous
  • Track record of end-to-end delivery and production issue troubleshooting
  • Experience with analytics libraries
  • Strong problem-solving and fast coding ability
