Plant Manager- Sutton in Ashfield

Overview

In this Plant Manager role, you will lead the Sutton-in-Ashfield manufacturing site to safely and efficiently meet performance targets within the SQDICP framework. You will drive continuous improvement, quality, delivery, and cost objectives while developing a high-performance, inclusive team aligned with Eaton’s culture. The position focuses on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction in a harsh-environment equipment business. You will influence across functions to deliver H5 commitments and strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an uncompromising safety culture and ensure regulatory and environmental compliance
• Deliver world-class quality by preventing defects and solving root-cause issues
• Ensure on-time delivery and optimize production planning, scheduling, and capacity
• Achieve productivity, cost reduction, and profitability targets, managing budgets and capex
• Develop leadership and succession planning, fostering collaboration and continuous learning
• Deploy and manage site H5 objectives and KPIs, review performance, and implement corrective actions

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred
• Minimum 5 years of senior manufacturing leadership experience (Plant Manager or equivalent)
• Proven track record delivering SQDICP results
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Eaton Business System principles
• Strong financial and operational acumen; experience with SAP and ERP systems
• Ability to analyze operational data and drive data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience leading large-scale change or projects; ability to influence without authority
