Billing Controller

Overview

In this role you will own the end-to-end billing cycle for an international portfolio, ensuring accurate, timely invoicing aligned with client requirements. You will engage with senior stakeholders across regions, manage complex invoicing and WIP analysis, and maintain data integrity to support revenue optimisation. The position offers autonomy, exposure to multi-entity and multi-currency environments, and opportunities to develop within a global team. You will help drive efficient billing processes and collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end billing cycle for international portfolio
• Manage complex invoicing arrangements and client contracts
• Perform detailed WIP analysis
• Ensure timely and accurate billing in line with client requirements
• Track billing progress across time zones and resolve queries
• Support revenue optimisation initiatives
• Maintain data integrity
• Potentially mentor junior team members

Key requirements

• Full-cycle billing experience in professional services (consulting, legal, or financial services)
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with ability to influence senior individuals
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with billing systems such as Elite 3E or Workday
• Strong written and verbal communication with a proactive, solutions-driven approach
