Senior Legal Counsel, Trust – Jersey

Overview

In this role you will provide expert legal guidance on trust law and related fiduciary responsibilities, supporting the growth of the fiduciary and legal functions. You will partner with senior stakeholders to navigate complex issues and inform strategic decisions in a high-calibre environment. The position emphasizes ownership of complex matters, transactional leadership, and clear advisory across private client and trust services. The role offers the chance to shape legal risk management and drive trusted outcomes within a Jersey-based organization.

Responsibilities

• Advise on trust law matters and apply related legislation to advisory and transactional work
• Draft, review, and manage documentation while assessing legal risk
• Lead on complex matters and transactions with internal and external stakeholders
• Support management and growth of fiduciary and legal functions
• Provide trusted guidance and contribute to strategic decision-making

Key requirements

• Demonstrable experience providing expert legal advice, drafting and reviewing documentation, and managing legal risk
• Background in a senior legal capacity, able to own complex matters and lead transactions
• Strong knowledge of trust structures and related legislation
• Entitled or entitled to work in Jersey
