Overview
In this role you join a high-caliber Linux engineering team supporting a leading quantitative trading platform. You will help design, optimize, and automate the core Linux-based infrastructure that powers complex trading systems. You’ll work with both in-house and open-source tools to enable fast, reliable, and scalable performance. The role emphasizes knowledge sharing, experimentation, and rigorous engineering culture in a global, well-funded fintech environment. Responsibilities
- Develop and improve a best-in-class trading platform infrastructure on Linux
- Automate workflows and tooling to reduce human error
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to tailor system performance
- Troubleshoot and optimize OS-level and application performance using profiling and tracing tools
- Leverage a mix of in-house and open-source technologies for deep customization
- Mentor and share knowledge within a highly skilled team
Key requirements
- Strong background in STEM education
- Deep knowledge of Linux and OS concepts
- Fluent on the command line and shell scripting
- Comfortable with C, sockets, and virtual memory concepts
- Excellent troubleshooting using debugging/profiling tools (gdb, perf, DTrace)
- Experience programming in any language (Go, Python, Java, C++, Scala, or similar)
