Overview

Senior MEP BIM Designer to join Arup’s Building Engineering Team in Cardiff. You will drive BIM delivery for cutting-edge projects across sectors, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure high-quality models, drawings and data. You’ll lead collaboration as the BIM focal point, guide coordination strategies, and support project management while fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

• Deliver models, drawings and data for projects; oversee model setup and family management
• Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders; develop coordination strategies
• Supervise and mentor team members; provide guidance and training
• Support Project Manager with progress reporting and issue identification
• Advise on BIM processes, standards and execution plans; ensure structured data delivery
• Provide technical support to wider team beyond project scope

Key requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Revit (model setup, modelling, drawing production, family management)
• Strong background in MEP building services systems and coordination across sectors
• Understanding of BIM processes, standards and delivery of high-quality models/drawings
• Experience managing and supporting others through guidance and feedback
• Strong communication skills and ability to report to Project Managers and collaborate across teams and clients
