Management Account

Overview

You will support the Finance team by delivering timely, insightful financial information to enable decision-making. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll prepare management accounts, perform budgeting and forecasting, and manage balance sheet reconciliations. You’ll collaborate with budget holders to drive performance and help improve financial processes with a focus on AI, systems, and controls. This is an excellent opportunity to develop business partnering, analytics, and leadership skills within a collaborative finance team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions
• Design and deliver team-specific management reports with the Assistant Finance Manager and Financial Controller
• Meet with team leaders and budget holders to review financial information
• Create ad hoc reports and extract data from financial systems
• Assist with partner provisions, debtors and WIP, and liaise with partners as needed
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with overhead controls and budget area responsibility
• Support twice-yearly budget collation and template preparation for budget holders
• Contribute to timely preparation and review of group-wide financial statements
• Support annual audit with relevant information and documentation
• Process quarterly VAT returns for the Buzzacott VAT group using NAV
• Handle government reporting and coordinate with HR for required data
• Mentor and coach junior finance team members

Key requirements

• ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification
