Overview

As a Network Sortation Engineer you will maintain and repair sortation equipment across a South West depot network, ensuring minimal downtime and reliable service. You work autonomously, balancing rapid fault resolution with planned maintenance to support our world-class delivery network. The role blends electrical and mechanical engineering to keep automated systems running, including SCADA-enabled fault finding. This position offers a night-day Panama pattern and opportunities to contribute to a sustainable, customer-focused operation.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to breakdowns with thorough fault finding (electrical and mechanical)
  • Complete adhoc repairs on all sortation equipment
  • Perform PPM and reactive maintenance of sortation systems
  • Carry out servicing work with service reports and system updates
  • Use SCADA systems to assist fault finding of sortation equipment
  • Coordinate with Security, Operations and IT on maintenance and repair work
  • Adhere to health & safety policies and COSHH requirements

Key requirements

  • Recognised engineering or maintenance apprenticeship or HND/HNC with Electrical bias
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a cluster of depots
  • Experience in fast-paced automated environments with electrical and mechanical repair
  • Experience servicing conveyors and repairing conveyor systems
  • Strong problem-solving under time pressure; resilience and self-motivation
  • Team player with a can-do mentality and alignment with DP D N A values
  • Full UK driving licence
