Overview

As a Senior/Principal Project Manager at AECOM you will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver water sector projects from feasibility through design, construction support and commissioning. You’ll work on high-impact Scotland-wide programs like SR27 and related frameworks, shaping sustainable water systems. You’ll manage scope, schedule and risks while fostering strong client relationships and a culture of safety. Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects in line with client and AECOM requirements
  • Define project scope, schedule, resources and risks
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams
  • Mentor and develop Project Managers and other team members, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Manage project commercial performance, including forecasting, costs and cash flow
  • Oversee effective contract administration and quality delivery
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers where required
  • Contribute to business development through proposals, client engagement and future opportunities
  • Champion a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture

Key requirements

  • Extensive experience managing projects within consultancy, engineering or infrastructure environments
  • Experience in leading bids, proposals or business development activities
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly PSC
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary and multi-organisation teams
  • Able to balance multiple priorities and work collaboratively
  • Proficient in project management and digital collaboration tools
  • Water sector experience desirable
