Overview

As an HR Project Advisor you will support the delivery of key people projects that drive organisational transformation and better employee experiences. You will collaborate across the HR Change and Employee Relations streams, coordinating transactional change like restructures and relocations while supporting learning initiatives and data-driven workforce planning. You’ll partner with managers and unions to build confidence in change and continuously improve HR services. This role offers flexible working and the chance to shape how the council supports its people.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the transactional delivery of organisational change projects
  • Provide professional HR advice to managers and stakeholders
  • Manage smaller-scale HR and employee relations projects
  • Interpret and analyse workforce data to support evidence-based decisions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive continuous improvement in HR services
  • Develop strong, constructive partnerships with Trade Union representatives
  • Contribute to workshops and change initiatives that build managerial confidence

Key requirements

  • Solid understanding of employment law and HR policy
  • Experience in managing projects from initiation to completion
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to support strategic decisions
  • Track record of successful stakeholder engagement, including with trade unions
  • Skilled at working in fast-paced environments and managing shifting priorities
