Finance Associate

Overview

In this role you support the strategic finance function for a growing real estate investment and development business. You build and refine investment, appraisal and valuation models that inform decision-making and funding strategies. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external advisers to translate data into actionable insights, supporting portfolio growth and third-party financing. You will shape the valuations and asset management framework, delivering clear reporting and insight into performance and ROI.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and improve development appraisal models across multiple projects and monitor live data against budgets to report ROI
• Support stabilised appraisals and investment modelling with market and operational research, liaising with agents and advisers
• Help build a valuations function with quarterly portfolio reporting and analysis of rents, yields and asset performance
• Develop a centralised asset management model and KPI dashboards for portfolio visibility
• Prepare asset memorandums for banking partners, acquisitions and quarterly reporting
• Maintain and improve utilities benchmarking and forecasting in partnership with the management accounts team
• Provide ad hoc modelling and analysis support across the business

Key requirements

• Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Advanced Excel skills including complex financial modelling and data analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
