Senior Mechanical Designer

Overview

In this role you design detailed mechanical drawings and safety-focused components within a regulated environment. You will contribute to the design of Alpha Gloveboxes and ensure project milestones are met, while coordinating with team members and clients. Your work directly supports high-stakes nuclear projects, combining precision drafting with assembly-focused design. Responsibilities

• Produce detailed drawings using Inventor / AutoCAD
• Design Alpha Gloveboxes with safety in mind
• Manage workload efficiently and drive project completion
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients

Key requirements

• Worked in regulated industries, preferably nuclear
• Recent experience in designing Alpha Gloveboxes
• Proficiency in Inventor / AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Design for Assembly principles
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages
• Security Clearance: residency criteria to attain UK security clearance at minimum SC level
