Contracts Manager – Retrofit

Overview

You will lead the delivery of retrofit projects for social housing across multiple sites, ensuring on-time completion within budget and to high standards. You’ll manage a small team of site managers and subcontractors, coordinating across regions to meet client expectations and safety requirements. The role focuses on retrofits like Solar PV, ventilation and insulation, windows/doors, and planned refurbishment, with a strong emphasis on commercial and programme management. This FTC offers practical impact in a housing retrofit programme within a growth-focused business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract delivery across multiple sites and regions to meet programme milestones
• Manage site managers and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and compliance
• Control project budgets, timelines, and client expectations
• Coordinate retrofit works across social housing schemes (Solar PV, ventilation/insulation, windows/doors, planned refurbishment)
• Maintain strong client relationships and progress reporting
• Ensure adherence to relevant standards and safety requirements

Key requirements

• Strong contracts management experience in social housing
• Retrofit and planned works experience
• Knowledge of PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 and SHDF
• Experience managing site managers and subcontractors
• Strong commercial, programme and client management skills
