Senior BIM Coordinator

Overview

As BIM Coordinator, you support BIM/AIM processes across the HRS02 M&E scope and act as the primary operational contact for suppliers on BIM matters. You help manage digital information throughout the project lifecycle and coordinate day-to-day information delivery, reporting, and issue resolution. You will work under the HRS02 BIM Lead, ensuring alignment with HS2 WI and ISO 19650 requirements while facilitating cross-functional coordination. This role offers the chance to influence information delivery at scale within a major rail infrastructure programme and strengthen digital collaboration across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary operational contact for suppliers on BIM and digital delivery matters
• Receive, triage and resolve issues related to access, modelling methodology, coordination, noncompliance and workflow
• Escalate significant programme issues to the HRS02 BIM Lead
• Monitor digital readiness and delivery risks (e.g., MIDP deliverables)
• Coordinate updates to the MPDT with Design Managers and suppliers
• Coordinate with Document Control, Engineering, Integration or Quality as needed
• Coordinate federated model across HRS02 parties and facilitate clash avoidance/detection/resolution
• Review alignment between models, drawings and deliverables throughout the lifecycle
• Support compliance of information deliverables with HS2/project requirements including metadata, WI
• Support use of PIM/AIM CDEs in line with WI
• Provide digital coordination support to Interface Manager
• Support coordination of structured asset data delivery and validation preparation
• Prepare and maintain digital reporting (MIDP status, metrics, clash status, non-compliance trends)
• Assist in audits and governance by collating evidence
• Develop, implement and record BIM training to embed processes

Key requirements

• Experience in BIM coordination or information management on major infrastructure or rail projects
• Understanding of ISO 19650 and Common Data Environment processes
• Experience coordinating federated models and clash detection
• Good stakeholder relationship skills
• Proven report writing and presentation skills

• Experience with Autodesk/Bentley/Trimble tools
