Overview
In this role you will handle a varied civil and commercial litigation caseload within a supportive Contract Resolution Group. You will advise on contract disputes arising from goods/services, misrepresentation, and professional negligence, while collaborating with senior lawyers to deliver high-quality service. Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse civil/commercial litigation caseload (excluding personal injury)
- Handle contract disputes from sale of goods/services and related commercial claims
- Provide advice on misrepresentation and professional negligence
- Work on construction and building contract disputes across multi-track matters
- Represent both Claimants and Defendants
- Liaise with clients by phone and in person
- Progress files using the firm’s case management system
- Manage billing and invoicing processes
Key requirements
- PQE in civil or commercial litigation
- Strong experience advising on contract-based disputes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with prioritisation ability
- Pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
- Confidence managing own caseload
- IT proficiency including Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Experience with insurer-funded clients (desirable)
