Overview
In this role you will deliver safe, inclusive and high-quality football coaching across multiple programs and sites. You will work with local clubs, schools and community partners to broaden outreach and engagement. You’ll support a team-oriented delivery approach, sharing opportunities to strengthen youth football provision. This is a people-facing, impact-driven role at Chelsea FC Foundation, with a focus on safeguarding and community impact.
Responsibilities
- Deliver daily coaching sessions across core programmes, including in-school, out-of-school, post-16 programmes and school holidays.
- Build and sustain relationships with local youth clubs, schools, organisations, leisure centres, local authorities and partners to extend outreach.
- Support wider team by sharing opportunities and information to enhance outreach delivery.
- Attend to activities deemed appropriate by Line Manager and adapt as needed.
- Ensure sessions are safe, inclusive and of high quality.
Key requirements
- FA Introduction to Football Coaching qualification (or FA Level 1 equivalent)
- In-date FA Saf safeguarding Children course & FA Introduction to First Aid in Football certificate
- Clean driving licence or ability to travel to sites by public transport
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in community/grassroots sport as participant or coach
- Experience working in a team within a sporting environment
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to organise and motivate team members
- Confident and outgoing personality
