Overview
As Digital Content Manager at WebMD/Medscape Medical Affairs, you will oversee day-to-day content production from manuscript to final HTML, ensuring accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance. You will apply client style guidelines and FDA/ABPI/EMA standards, while leveraging AI to improve efficiency. You work cross-functionally to deliver high-quality medical content that aligns with business goals. This role offers impact by shaping medical content at scale and supporting complex editorial workflows.
Responsibilities
- Review, edit, copyedit, and proofread web materials (banners, emails, pages, modules, rich media) for accuracy, consistency, and best practices
- Ensure content complies with medical, legal, and regulatory standards and product specifications
- Verify content aligns with editorial guidelines and client requirements
- Compile project information for client reviews and maintain deadlines under pressure
- Collaborate across departments to ensure timely, accurate project execution
- Prioritize tasks and manage workload independently while maintaining quality
- Embrace AI and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency
Key requirements
- Minimum 3 years editorial experience in medical communications, pharma, or medical affairs
- Proficiency in AMA style; strong medical terminology knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong problem-solving
- Experience with electronic editing tools (Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) desired
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or health-related field preferred
- English fluency; knowledge of FDA/ABPI/EMA regulations preferred
