Audit Senior Top 40 Accountancy Practice – Central London

Overview

In this role you will lead and execute audits and related accounts work for a top 40 UK practice. You’ll plan, supervise and complete audits up to turnover of 80 million, including specialist engagements (FCA, pensions, solicitors, charities) and support accounts prep. You will mentor junior staff, contribute to group reporting, and prepare draft tax computations and statutory/consolidated accounts under FRS102, FRS105 and IFRS. The position combines audit delivery with hands-on accounting, offering exposure to diverse clients and meaningful advisory input.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and carry out audits from planning through completion
• Handle audits for clients with turnover up to 80 million, including specialist areas (FCA, pensions, solicitors, charities)
• Assist junior staff with technical accounting and auditing issues
• Prepare draft corporation tax computations
• Prepare draft statutory and consolidated accounts under FRS102, FRS105 and IFRS from client draft figures
• Draft points and recommendations for partners after fieldwork
• Prepare responses for group reporting where we are component auditor
• Undertake larger accounts preparation for audit exempt entities (limited companies, partnerships, LLPs)

Key requirements

• ACCA or ACA qualified
• 1–2 years post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice
