Structural Engineer

Overview

In this role you will contribute to a busy, small practice by leading structural design across a varied project mix. You’ll work closely with the team to deliver robust solutions for houses, flats, extensions, and other buildings, with autonomy and support as needed. The position offers potential long-term leadership growth and directorship prospects within a flexible, friendly firm. You’ll apply your design experience and AutoCAD skills on site-related and drawing tasks, while communicating clearly with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• design structural schemes for a range of projects (houses, flats, extensions, commercial/industrial works) across main materials
• producing and reviewing drawings using AutoCAD
• support project delivery with site visits and defect analysis as needed
• coordination with the team to manage a busy workload
• maintain clear communication with clients and multidisciplinary teams

Key requirements

• minimum 4 years design experience
• Chartered Engineer preferred
• ability to design in all main materials
• proficiency in AutoCAD
• excellent communication skills
