Overview

In this role you help secure timely, safe, and compliant supply chain activities for an oil & gas client. You will manage procurement, contracting, and supplier interfaces to support operations and projects. You’ll collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure governance and HSEQ compliance while driving efficiency in purchasing processes. This is a hands-on position that blends contract administration with supplier management, enabling reliable delivery and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to HSEQ policies across supply chain activities
  • Negotiate and administer contracts, purchase orders, rental/repair agreements, and service orders
  • Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
  • Support contractor management and HSEQ activities to prevent incidents
  • Review and improve contracting and purchasing procedures for efficiency
  • Monitor compliance with SCM processes among internal stakeholders
  • Serve as interface for dangerous goods, lifting equipment, and PPE to support safe practices
  • Ensure UK supply chain processes align with policies and regulatory requirements, collaborating with Finance, Legal, and Operations
  • Assist in managing contractors and contingent workforce ensuring IR35 compliance and governance

Key requirements

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline preferred, or equivalent practical experience
  • Procurement, contracts, or supply chain experience; E&P sector experience advantageous
  • Understanding of procurement processes, contract administration, and supplier management
  • Strong IT skills (Excel essential); ERP experience (SAP desirable)
  • Working towards CIPS qualification desirable
