Overview

As an AI-first Senior Software Engineer, you design and maintain AWS-native systems, blending core software engineering with cloud, data engineering, and AI capabilities. You will steer architectural decisions, deliver production-grade code, and promote engineering excellence through testing and automation. You apply AI agents and AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery and solve business challenges. You’ll build scalable, observable systems that align with our CRE-focused platforms and data-driven products.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure software applications and services
  • Own technical design and implementation of complex systems from concept to production
  • Drive architecture balancing scalability, maintainability, performance, and reliability
  • Write and review production code; promote engineering best practices
  • Provide technical guidance and code review feedback, including AI-generated code validation
  • Champion engineering excellence through testing, automation, documentation, and continuous improvement
  • Build production-grade AI agents and agentic workflows using AWS Bedrock, Anthropic/Claude, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar
  • Incorporate AI-assisted tooling to automate engineering processes and reduce manual work
  • Design and maintain evaluation frameworks for AI systems, including regression tests and human-in-the-loop processes
  • Ensure AI-powered solutions meet quality, reliability, security, and testing standards
  • Build and operate cloud-native solutions on AWS (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, SQS, API Gateway, CloudWatch)
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows (Glue, Spark/PySpark, Kafka)
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and drive observability and operational readiness

Key requirements

  • Bachelor in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer building complex production systems
  • Hands-on development with Python, Java, Node.js, or similar
  • Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and microservices
  • Extensive AWS experience with cloud-native apps
  • Strong data engineering background: data modeling, ETL, large-scale processing
  • Proven experience building AI agents and agentic systems for real-world problems
  • Experience creating evaluation/testing frameworks for LLM/AI agents (regression tests, datasets, model validation)
  • Experience with AI-assisted development and automating manual workflows
  • Infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability tools, and operational best practices
