You’ll apply engineering expertise to design, analysis, and surveys, while mentoring junior engineers and promoting sustainable practices. The role blends technical delivery with client and contractor liaison and project commercial awareness. Responsibilities
- Design, calculations, and drawing support for projects
- Undertake building surveys and provide remedial appraisals
- Manage small project fees and resources for commercial success
- Serve as point of contact for client and contractor queries
- Minimise health and safety risks and promote staff competencies
- Collaborate with project teams and mentor junior engineers
- Integrate sustainable engineering practices and pursue CPD
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements
Key requirements
- BSc/BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering; MSc/MEng preferred
- Incorporated Engineer or Near Chartered Engineer (ICE or IStructE) or approaching membership with UK experience
- Strong technical problem-solving and knowledge of UK design standards, codes, and construction methods
- Experience with structural analysis, design, 3D modelling, and AutoCAD and Revit
- Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks
- Site visit experience and collaborative approach with internal and external teams
