Intelligence Analyst, YouTube

Overview

In this role, you will advance SSH risk intelligence to protect vulnerable users on YouTube. You’ll work within the Intelligence Desk to identify trends, assess platform vulnerabilities, and translate findings into actionable mitigations and product updates. You will collaborate with Trust & Safety, Youth, and product teams to inform decision-making through evidence-based analyses for executive stakeholders. This is a high-impact position that blends investigation, risk modeling, and cross-functional partnership to strengthen platform safety at scale.

Responsibilities

• Identify emerging SSH-related trends and threat vectors across YouTube and the broader digital ecosystem
• Monitor high-risk online phenomena and evaluate how self-harm content morphs or evades automated detection
• Produce evidence-driven assessments and communicate findings to executive management and cross-functional stakeholders
• Collaborate with Trust & Safety, Youth, and product teams to translate insights into actionable safety mitigations and product updates
• Evaluate platform vulnerabilities and contribute to risk modeling to support long-term safety strategies
• Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to assess broader impact and inform decision-making

Key requirements

• 7+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics
• 7+ years of experience in risk intelligence, trust and safety, crisis response, or risk analysis
• Experience managing sensitive online content domains (e.g., suicide and self-harm trend analysis)
