Overview
In this Senior Manager role, you will lead complex healthcare transformation programmes for EY’s health clients in the UK, partnering with client leaders to realise productivity gains and cost-out initiatives. You will design and deliver digitally enabled solutions, drawing on health system experience and data analytics to shape large-scale programmes. You’ll mentor junior colleagues and help grow EY’s health practice through cross-functional collaboration and business development. This is a mission-driven opportunity to influence care system design and operational efficiency at scale, with a focus on NHS providers and Integrated Care Systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple healthcare consulting projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and successful delivery.
- Design and deliver transformational solutions focused on productivity, cost-out, and digital-enabled transformation in health and care services.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with clients and senior leaders, guiding healthcare transformation and cost-out agendas.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of EY’s UK health community.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in healthcare landscapes.
- Drive business development activities, including opportunity identification, proposal preparation, and client-facing presentations as Bid Manager when needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate insights and deliver sustainable client value.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes and new technologies to inform strategic recommendations and consulting practices.
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in healthcare consulting within a professional services firm or healthcare delivery with providers/systems
- Strong knowledge of the UK healthcare system (provider, regional, national)
- Bid Manager experience for pursuits and Engagement Manager for large, complex engagements
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and lead teams
- Excellent communication with stakeholders at executive, operational, and clinical levels
- Experience in business development and securing new consulting engagements
