Overview
As Digital Delivery Director, you own delivery excellence for a portfolio of large, long-term programmes across global teams. You act as the primary delivery contact for clients, guiding multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring on-time, on-scope, on-budget outcomes from Build through Run. You manage governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication at senior levels, across time zones, while shaping the strategic direction of projects. This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role at a leading sports media technology company.
Responsibilities
- Programme-manage large and strategically important initiatives across the Digital Pillar
- Ensure delivery excellence across all accounts in your portfolio with adherence to SLAs
- Own budget, GM, and resource planning to keep delivery on time and within scope
- Structure projects to respond to changing demands and manage ambiguity
- Sign off on team plans and realistic delivery schedules
- Maintain Build review cadence and visibility on capacity and prioritisation
- Provide governance and ensure clear communication across product, delivery, and engineering teams
- Maintain stakeholder engagement with senior leaders and account management
- Escalate and manage major delivery risks and incidents with proactive involvement
- Lead, coach, and mentor a global, multi-disciplinary team
- Develop programme management discipline through training, workshops, and conferences
- Drive client relationships and account growth in collaboration with Commercial teams
- Support hand-over from Build to Run and B2B Support & LiveOps
- Sign off on Build phase closure and retrospective to inform future bids
- Ensure alignment of project goals with company strategy
Key requirements
- 5+ years in Project/Programme Management in fast-paced tech environments
- Agile experience
- Excellent management and coaching skills
- Strong senior stakeholder management including Account Management/Sales
- Excellent English communication at all levels
- Track record of delivering in large, complex organisations with ambiguous contexts
- Understanding of technology, process, risk, and controls including GM awareness
- Experience in international organisations with multi-country remote teams
- Experience managing capacity, resourcing, and prioritisation across multiple projects
- Experience with incident management and client-facing escalations
- Ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Comfort with balancing multiple concurrent projects in scaled Agile, international settings
