NUVIA UK – Senior Building Services Engineer (HVAC)

Overview

In this role you will lead the HVAC building services design to satisfy technical specifications, ensuring safe, on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes. You will shape design deliverables across design phases and oversee compliance with safety legislation and industry standards. You will mentor staff, manage contractors, and provide technical consultancy during site surveys, installation, and commissioning. Responsibilities

• Develop designs and documentation to meet technical specs
• Produce design deliverables across the design process
• Check/approve discipline design deliverables
• Contribute to design reviews and safety reviews
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of design documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety legislation and codes
• Develop cost-effective technical solutions
• Staff development and safety culture reinforcement
• Manage contractors
• Provide technical consultancy
• Support during site surveys, installation and commissioning

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in a relevant technical/engineering discipline or demonstrable experience
• Working towards, or already having, Chartered status in a discipline-specific engineering institution
• Strong understanding of fundamental engineering in your discipline
• Experience in the design of Building Services (including ventilation and piped services)
• Proven track record of delivering design solutions
• Good understanding of safety legislation and statutory regulations
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
• Good commercial awareness
• Experience of leading design teams
• Experience of managing sub-contracts
• Experience of bid preparation
