Senior Partnerships Manager

Overview

As Senior Ecosystems Partnerships Manager, you drive Backbase’s fintech partner strategy and lifecycle—from discovery to signing and ongoing management. You’ll coordinate pricing, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional execution to fuel ecosystem growth and deliver innovative banking solutions. You will lead select strategic partnerships and scale the partner program across global markets. This role combines relationship leadership with strategic execution to turn partnerships into measurable business impact. You’ll work closely with product, sales, and legal to optimize deals and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate fintech partners to fuel ecosystem growth
• Negotiate and manage end-to-end partnership agreements
• Lead relationships with strategic partners and scale the partner program
• Collaborate with regional Marketplace commercial leads and field teams to feed planning and improvements
• Support pricing and commercial strategy for existing and new partners
• Provide internal reporting on partnerships and related activities to leadership
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across Product (R&D), Sales, Customer Success, Account Management, Marketing and Legal
• Manage complex partnership deals with multiple internal and external parties

Key requirements

• 9+ years of professional experience in partnerships or partnership management within fintech, payments, or banking
• Strong understanding of payments, payments modernization, and money movement
• Proven track record of building impactful partnerships and driving revenue growth
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leadership and multiple stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong teamwork and collaboration values
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or similar; Master’s degree a plus
