Senior Electronic Engineer

Overview

In this role you will develop and improve sensors, design custom solutions with customers, and contribute to new product development and testing. You’ll support calibration improvements and routine testing, while also aiding technical marketing through papers and conference activities. The position fits a growing team with succession planning in focus, offering a path to Principal Engineer within 2–3 years. You’ll work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful sensor technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve sensors and related technologies
• Design and implement custom solutions in collaboration with customers
• Support development of new products and technologies
• Lead calibration improvements, type testing, and routine product testing projects
• Assist technical marketing with academic papers, white papers, and conference attendance
• Contribute to planning for succession of key staff within the team

Key requirements

• 1st class or 2:1 in Electronic / Electrical Engineering (hons) or related subject at a Russell Group or equivalent University
• Master’s degree or PhD in Electronic / Electrical Engineering (hons) or related subject
• Proven project leadership within your roles
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Good working knowledge of MATLAB
• Good working knowledge of SPICE or other circuit simulation packages
