Overview
In this role you will lead process engineering for multi-disciplinary water projects, shaping designs from concept to detailed execution. You will coordinate teams across disciplines, work within a gated design process, and develop mass/energy balances, control philosophies, and commissioning plans. You’ll contribute to feasibility studies and cost estimates while applying digital tools to solve engineering challenges. Responsibilities
- Coordinate work across disciplines and mentor team members
- Operate within a gated design and delivery process
- Develop mass and energy balances, process data sheets, control philosophies, and commissioning plans
- Contribute to report writing and feasibility studies including plant operating and capital costs
- Prepare fee proposals and plant layouts, energy and mass balances
- Demonstrate practical implementation of designs and apply digital design tools
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in graduate training
- Participate in HazOp studies and support safety/compliance activities
Key requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar
- Experience leading/process engineering teams to deliver on time and within budget
- Experience with Biowin/GPS-X modelling software
- Acting as process designer in HazOp teams
- Development of PID’s, plant layouts, GA, and energy/mass balances
- Feasibility studies and plant operating and capital cost estimation
- Mentoring and coaching
- Cross-disciplinary collaboration

- HazOp facilitation and safety analysis
